It was an absolute pleasure to attend the first MCE conference. For a first time the organizers did splendid job, the venue was great, the paper free idea was even better.

It’s raining and it’s getting cold outside so we felt nostalgic for the warm days of autumn and when remembering these days, we can’t help but think about MCE that was held during the last days of October in the beautiful Budapest!

It was an absolute pleasure to attend the first MCE conference. For a first time the organizers did splendid job, the venue was great, the paper free idea was even better. Budapest was an amazing place to visit and we were awed from the beautiful architecture and sights. Our colleagues shared that the cuisine is another wonderful part of Hungary that must be tried by everyone.

We spent two amazing days full of many pleasant conversations, a lot good laughs and new friendships. We should mention that the master classes were very well chosen and the discussed topics made us think and gave us quite a few ideas to further improve.

The idea to have an event that is dedicated to Vendor management is a fantastic idea – let’s be honest behind all translators and PMs there is a humble Vendor Manager connecting them all. Without Vendor Managers we will be lost, we should praise them more often and we will surely feel their gratitude when we have great resources.

On the other hand, the event gave opportunity to Vendor Managers and freelancers to communicate more closely, to improve their communication. It was great that through the master classes the freelancers could learn how to apply, what is important for each VM, learning branding tips and sales techniques. Experience is great when it is shared!

There were many topics for LSPs too – tools demo, insights for different countries and their cultures, marketing and sales, quality management and etc.

So if we should summarize MCE was a great event, we will definitely insert in in our calendars for the next year J We want to congratulate the organizers for their amazing idea that lead to MCE and send our warmest regards to the old and new friends that we’ve met there.

For final inspiration we will share with you with our favorite quote from the master classes: “You should prize Vendor Managers by how many vendors they engage, not recruit” – thank you Danilo Monaco for saying it so well! By the way this applies to PMs, too 🙂
