REGULAR RATES
Our rates vary from 9 to 33 US cents per word depending on the language pair, subject area, difficulty level, volume, and turnaround time.

Price has been one of our secret of success. It is also one of the main factors why the majority of our translation company clients have been using us continually since 1998.
Most of our translation work is performed by our in-house translators. This is why we’ve been able to maintain lower rates compared with other translation companies that exclusively use freelance translators. You might also be surprised to know that in some cases, our prices are even lower than the freelance translators themselves.
Our basic translation rate always includes 3 steps:
1. Translation performed by the first translator
2. Editing & proofreading by second translator
3. QA check and post-layout by our QA team and/or Project Manager
EXCEPTIONS
There are a few exceptional cases where we have to charge differently/highlight]:
1. Into English
Some Asian languages such as Japanese, or Chinese that cannot be counted as words. For these languages we charge per source characters, lines, pages, or just flat fee. For more details, please refer to the English Conversion Ratio section.
2. Audio/Video Transcription
In most audio/video transcription projects, we charge per minute of playing time instead of source or target words. We can also perform subtitling.
3. Machine Translation for Patents
Patent translations can be very time consuming and costly. However, if you need patent translation for reference or internal use only, we would be able to charge a flat fee and deliver it within 24 hours.
4. Limited Budget

5. Special Discounts
We have a variety of discount options for returning clients. We may charge a flat fee per month for all your Asian language translation projects or offer an automatic rebate program based on your total annual volume sales. Please send your request to info@1stopasia.com.
6. Minimum Fee
Our minimum fee per each project for new clients is US$100.00
LIMITED BUGET
There are times when our clients can’t afford this luxury or they simply do not require us to go through our normal 3 step process.
Most of the projects that we handle are intended for official or commercial use and require our standard 3 steps (translation, editing, proofreading) by 3 professional translators. However, not all jobs are alike. There are times when our clients can’t afford this luxury or they simply do not require us to go through our normal 3 step process.

ENGLISH CONVERSION RATIO
The list below provides an approximate conversion ratio when translating from Asian languages into English.
For example Chinese into English is 1.2 : 1 which means that during translation on average 120 Chinese characters are translated into 100 English words.
